Mountjoy House

It was a very comfortable place to stay.

There was no en-suite.

Great location, very welcoming host, and well equipped room. I was pleased with how close the accommodation was to the city walls and various attractions. Room was secure and felt cozy enough. Shared bathroom was clean.

I wasn't too sure about on-street parking due to near-by roadworks and having to park a bit from the property due to lack of space in front of it. I ended up with small scratches on the car but luckily these were not picked up on by rental company.

John was very helpful and explained the history of the area. It's next to the city wall.

The whole experience good stay

John the host was great at keeping in touch. He lives on the top floor of the house. He helped us to find a laundrette. The rooms were on the middle floor. The room was a good size

The room was a bit stuffy and hot. We had all the windows open to get fresh air.

My room was clean and what I expected. The host was nice and explained how to get around Derry and what things I should go see. There was food in the morning you could grab if you wanted (bread and pastries).

He gave me the wrong room key so when I went to get back into my room (it was open when I arrived), I couldn’t get in. Thankfully the other person was there and she happened to have my key. Also the bathroom (shower specifically) could’ve been cleaner. One of my pillows didn’t have a pillowcase.

The householder was so nice, the house is in a perfect position (just 1 min walking to the walls), the kitchen is well furnished and the bedroom is spacious

Very warm and welcoming host, was very helpful as a first time guest to the city. Lovely room and amenities, great value for money, would highly recommend!
