Very cheap. Friendly stuff.

Room equipment need some repair. Noise from the bar downstairs. Room was really small. But appearance to the price it was ok.

As others mentioned, a very clean place, no bells and whistles but clean and comfy. Excellent value for money.

They overbooked and I had to sleep on a single bed instead of double which I booked. I am not making any assumptions on whose side the fault is, Booking.com or host but this sucked A LOT. Don't get me wrong, the bartender who checked me in was very helpful and was trying his best to offer free drinks etc to make it up but I just wanted a double bed. Clearly a fault on the management side somewhere but I don't want to make any assumptions. Just a very annoying situation. At 9pm I couldn't be bothered looking for alternative accomodation so I decided to stay. Also I am sorry if I turned up as a disgruntled b@#?#)d when I arrived, it was a day full of mayhem and this situation did not help to soothe it.

The booking on line was straight forward with no fuss The reception was quick and with no fuss. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The location was close to the main road into Aberdeen for bus travel - but the room was quiet. There was a friendly bar downstairs where I was made to feel welcome by staff and regulars. I would recommend The Brig Inn without hesitation and when I return I will book in again. Many thanks.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The general manager made us feel welcome and gave us lots of interesting facts and suggestions. The bar was festive. The towels were clean and a decent size.

There were cobwebs in the bathroom and the shower had some corrosion.

The staff were great (friendly, helpful, accommodating), but the room was not. The Inn is 8 rooms over a bar, which means that you will hear bar music and patrons until the bar closes at midnight. The windows are not sealed well, so street noise seeps into the room easily. That means resting hours are 12am-6am or 7am. The radiators and mattresses are very old, which means that the mattresses lack any comfort or support and the radiators regularly make loud noise. The box spring was completely broken on my bed. Despite the great staff and cleanly room, I would not stay again.
