Hillside Bed and Breakfast

Friendly welcome and splendid breakfast as usual.

The host was welcoming, upgraded our room without our asking. Comfortable, cozy.

Lovely room, friendly owner,nothing too much trouble,goes above and beyond to help.would definitely recommend to anyone.

The room was well equiped. Hanging closet and shelves, bedside tables with drawers, as well as a desk with kettle and coffee maker. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit salad then full English or eggs Benedict. There is parking, either behind the property or on the street. There is a pub almost opposite, and another in the village, though I didn't visit either. The owner was excellent, helpful and friendly.

The room was small, though fair for the price. It was fine for one person, but a couple would fall over each other. I had trouble spotting the place, as the sign was modest and amoung vegetation- but I phoned and the owner came out and waved, so not a big issue. The stairs might be a problem for less able guests.

Water pressure caused the shower to be erratic.

The breakfasts were excellent; nothing seemed to be too much trouble! Indeed, the landlady's general helpfulness couldn't be faulted. The "duck or grouse" warning signs over the entrance door and the staircase were also helpful; I'm short enough not to have to worry, but they could have been useful for taller visitors.

It's hard to think of anything. One VERY minor issue is that my room didn't appear to have a shaver point, but as I have a beard anyway that was hardly a problem. The phone signal (Vodafone) wasn't great either, but that certainly isn't the fault of the landlady!

Beautiful old cottage, very comfortable.

Breakfast was very good with a good selection. Had good off road parking (which is necessary due to very narrow roads).

Having to climb several flights of fairly steep stairs to access our room, which was quite small.

Owner was fantastic and friendly. Breakfast was superb. Family Room was extremely spacious.

She does everything wonderfully. So kind and thoughtful, thanks to her I was happy all day.
