"Just trying to get out of the heat of London and was still too hot for me"

Lovely host Richard as I had just come out of hospital the morning I arrived I was very tired and fragile and he was very kind and talked to me and following morning when I couldn’t eat a full English he went the extra mile and got me scrambled egg which with a sore mouth I could swallow and apple juice it was a comforting gesture when I was very fragile from a hospital visit

Just a fan available in room as it was a really big heatwave and room gets the sun from 5.30am so by 8.30 am it’s neccesary to get out even the pretty balcony was too hot and that was due to freak weather ,I only have one lung after cancer so found it difficult to breath ,any other season would have been fine I feel it’s better suited to fitter person ,but Richards kindness was a bonus

What a superb hotel. Being pet friendly our expectations were low based on previous experiences but we were thrilled to bits with the cleanliness of the hotel. We had such a warm welcome from Richard and a fabulous breakfast the next morning. The room was very comfortable, the location was great and we enjoyed the character and charm of this property.
