Throstle Nest Farm

The location was very peaceful, yet only a short drive into Skipton. The family room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the choice of breakfast and everything was nicely cooked. More tea and toast was available on request and the host was friendly.

The parking spaces were a bit tight and on our leaving day, someone had parked across our car, making it very difficult to get out.

Great hosts, lovely breakfast, very clean, nothing to criticise at all.

The breakfast was fabulous, really tasty and the location was really wonderful. I was there to work, so i was too tired to explore. The weather was pleasant and there were people taking advantage of the outdoor seating. I really enjoyed the picturesque landscape and the farm critters.

The trains, but that can't be helped. The walls were a bit thin where I stayed, but it is a converted barn, so to be expected for load bearing.

The decor was welcoming and pleasant to see. The room was on the first floor and I had help carrying my bags to it which I appreciated. The shower was very good.

A review had been left a couple of months ago concerning the uncomfortable bed in the single room. It remains uncomfortable and I moved the pillows to the other end of the bed and it was slightly better. The view from the windows included spiders which I did not appreciate. Finally was the lack of communication between the member of staff who took my order for breakfast but did not pass it on to the cook. I waited for a couple of croissants which was all I asked for and they did not materialise.
