Nettle Bank

Nettle Bank is a gem. It’s a very comfortable property with a beautiful garden. Sue, the owner, is very friendly and helpful and has a lot of local knowledge which is very useful. Great breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and wish I’d booked for longer.

Everything was delicious especially the breakfast

I enjoyed everything about Nettlebank during my week's stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. My room (King room at the front of the property) was very comfortable. It had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. Nettlebank is located in a peaceful lane just off the road that passes through Uplyme to Lyme. There's very little passing traffic and I slept really well, which is unusual for me when I'm on holiday. Sue was a very friendly, helpful host and produced an excellent breakfast each morning. Everything was very relaxed and it felt like home from home. There is off-road parking at the property (best to reverse in from the lane as the drive is on a slope), and Lyme is about 10 minutes' drive away. I was staying during a warm, sunny week and Lyme got very busy from mid-morning onwards. If you want to park at the Harbour (Monmouth Beach) car park, as I did, you need to get there for around 10.15 to be sure of getting a spot. It fills up quickly because it's the car park nearest to the harbour and beach. Finally, I thought my stay at Nettlebank was very good value for money.

I have no suggestions for improvements. Nettlebank met my expectations exactly!

Lovely rooms good quiet location. Sue was very helpful and looked after us very well. Breakfast excellent and very accommodating time served to fit in with our plans.

Everything really. The b&b is in a lovely rural position about a ten minute drive from Lyme Regis with lovely views across the back garden. Our ensuite room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast and we could come and go as we pleased during the day. Sue is a lovely host and it's like staying with friends. We look forward to staying again. Roy & Sue

The room needs a full length mirror, which Sue intends to add.

Sue and Terry were a lovely couple. They looked after us. Their place was homely with superb views.
