Saray Monumental Luxury Villa Medieval Town, Rhodes

This absolutely exceeded our expectations. Not just the villa and garden itself, which are stunning, but the care and attentiveness put in by Roxanne and her team to our whole experience as guests. From the communication beforehand arranging a seamless airport transfer and meeting us to walk us to the villa, to the amazing breakfasts prepared by the warm friendly cook at the time of our choice - the Saray goes beyond five star service! So relaxed and welcoming. We really felt we were guests in someone's beautiful home. The location is perfect - on a small alley in the heart of the pedestrianised old town, near all the main attractions and shopping. In the centre of things, but the villa itself is an oasis of peace. A real paradise garden where all you can hear is the birds. Can't wait to come back!

I loved the weather! The hosts were great too!

Our stay at the Saray was one of the highlights of our month long trip to Greece! Easy to find, and met with one of the most responsive and helpful hosts, Roxanne! The property itself with its beautiful and well kept gardens and pool! The house! Meticulously restored and a high level of standard put in to all the finishing touches that you would expect from a 5 star! The bonus for us was there were no other bookings for the 2 nights of stay so we had the property all to ourselves! It made for one of our most memorable experiences in our travels! Lovely touches like a welcome basket upon arrival, robes and slippers for the pool, comfy bed with quality linens, expresso coffee maker, a Bluetooth speaker, portable garden lanterns, beautiful loungers with pillows, and many separate areas of the outdoor property that if there were other guests, privacy could be found with no problem! We stayed in the castle view room and the views of sunset and of sunrise through two different viewpoints in the room were amazing! We can not say enough good about this property and home!

I encountered several issues during my stay that were quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my feedback. The key for my room snapped in half as I was trying to enter. The owner accused me of supposedly mishandling the key, when she never gave any specific instructions on how to properly handle the key. She later admitted that she had issues with the lock of that door before as the door is old. She's had to have it replaced in the past, making her point of me supposedly mishandling the key void. The owner insisted that fixing the lock would be expensive and that I would be responsible for covering the cost. This response was, in my opinion, quite inhospitable as I am not responsible for the infrastructure and this obviously left a bad impression. To make matters worse, the handyman that was sent to the property to address the issue, used explicit language, implying that I would have to pay for any repairs if I wanted to recover my belongings. This unprofessional and rude behavior is inexcusable, and as the owner of the hotel, she is ultimately responsible for the conduct of her staff and how they interact with guests. The repair to the door was made without any cost to me, however the modification made to the door meant it was no longer secure, and I felt extremely uncomfortable with the newfound vulnerability of my room. This situation was particularly unsettling as I was traveling alone, and finding an alternative, safe accommodation last minute proved to be quite challenging and disruptive to my vacation. Moreover, the overall safety of the entire property was questionable. The entrance door was shaky and offered minimal protection, serving as the only barrier between the street and my room, which now had an unsecured door

We had the most fabulous stay at Saray. All the staff we met were lovely. Roxanne was wonderful and Emilia was off the scale amazing with her beautiful smile (we miss her!) and delicious breakfasts. Our room was tastefully decorated and had everything you could need and the gardens were a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle. We will never forget our stay and will definitely be back (S and K)

A wonderful oasis in Rhodes Old Town, just a 1minute walk and you are in the heart of it. The location couldn't be better! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
