Stunning old Georgian manor house with a beautiful spacious windy staircase, very historical feel. Lovely cooked breakfast as well as fresh fruit salad and home made bircher - nice touches! Nice spacious bright bedroom with stunning views over the garden. So quiet and away from any busy roads Janet was a lovely host and very knowledgeable and helpful with local restaurants

My only concern was how long it took for the hot water to come through both tap and shower but understandably in an older house things do take time. Bed was a bit too soft for me as I like a firm mattress

"Very comfortable and clean place to stay."

Large room, very clean, en suite, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and very friendly staff, free on site parking.

Only criticism is location, a little way out of Whitehaven.
