Owners Tina, Vanessa and of course Ruby the Schnauzer. Made our few days most enjoyable. Thornton le Dale and surrounding areas are lovely although we knew that already.

Everything was excellent, it was without a doubt the best Bed & Breakfast I have ever stayed at, welcoming, clean comfortable and in an area of outstanding beauty., we will go again.

I can honestly say there was absolutely nothing to dislike.

The property was spotless , the room had everything you could want plus more, large t.v Lovely furnishings and very spacious. The bed and bed linens amazing we had a wonderful sleep , the breakfast was a delicious especially the overnight Oats we will definitely return.

"A perfect weekend away"

There is no option but to give this guest house an Excellent rating! Tina and Vanessa made us so welcome. The guest house is very clean and has a lovely cosy feel. We stayed in the York Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. As we love our morning coffee we were delighted to see a coffee machine in the room. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The breakfast was perfect. We started with Vanessa’s Bircher Overnights oats. They were so good we have taken the recipe home. It is important to Tina and Vanessa that their produce is all from Yorkshire . We had marmalade on the table but were offered a variety of other local preserves. I have never liked marmalade in the past but my mind has well and truly been changed. The cooked breakfast was perfectly cooked. There was lots of variety. And the cafetière coffee was delicious. Tina and Vanessa obviously uphold very high standards while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We loved Thornton-le-Dale. Such a pretty village and a great base for exploring the area. We look forward to visiting again.
