Crabapple Cottage B&B

Cute log cabin, small but perfectly formed. Great location 2 mins walk to the High Street.

The stairs up to the cabin are a bit slippy and uneven which makes them slightly tricky to navigate with luggage. Limited cooking facilities (microwave & toaster only).

A warm, comfortable space in a beautiful garden. Right in the heart of the old town and close to lots of amazing historic sites and great places to eat.

For the price you can’t beat the location and amenities. Bread, crumpets, butter/jam, milk and cereal provided were fantastic and the room is bright and clean and has everything needed for a few days around Lewes.

Hard to complain at this price point, but bed was small for wife and I (we are both very tall). And the heater was a bit of a challenge to figure out - was supposed to be on a timer but after a very cold first night it was clearly not working right. I figured out how to turn it on manually when we needed heat and that solved everything.

The cabin is big and quiet. Breakfast is very nice

Location is fabulous and very quiet cosy cabin. Was nice to disconnect as no TV. We had huge storms but enjoyed the change.

Shower pressure could be better.

Good central location. Thoughtful provision of breakfast supplies. Spotlessly clean. Environmentally friendly cleaning and household products, e.g. soap, washing up liquid, etc. Clear information sheet. Good value for money.

Felt a bit cluttered (studio is also used as a children's nursery). Lots of windows and close to main house, so did not feel private. Outdoor lighting would be helpful for arrivals in the dark. Bathroom fittings insubstantial - leaking tap, no plug for basin, bring your own shower products. No TV (but good wi-fi).

Crabapple Cottage was so cosy and ideal for our trip to Lewes and Charleston.
