The Guest House

Lovely place, great staff. Lyn was so helpful. You can come and go as you please, once you have a key. Very comfortable room with a good en suite. Great location for Abergavenny town centre and the surrounding areas, a short walk into town. Ideal for the food festival, in September.

Tip: Ask for some instant decaf coffee sachets for your room or bring your own decaf coffee. (I normally bring my aeropress.)

The business lives up to it's name.

The room was too small. I'm disabled so the climb up and down the stairs was not easy. There are no grab rails in the shower, which with my balance issues is potentially very dangerous.

The room was clean / bathroom was clean. Parking (on street but free) Good location - stations / shops etc. Good Wifi Staff were good.

One of the single beds broke on the first day, when I sat on it to unpack my suitcase, nobody came to fix it. On closer examination - the bed had clearly be broken in that section before; someone had but some thin cheap pins in to try and repair it. As a result, my BF who decided to joined me on the second day had to sleep on the floor and they had a nerve to still charge us. There was a horrible dank smell in the lobby - that did not relent for the duration of the stay. Low score for how it was handle (or should I say not)

5 minute walk from town centre & facilities. Friendly staff.

Host was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent.

Sofa bed isnt comfortable for an adult due to the width but is ideal for a child.
