Green Vanilla Bungalow

Very nice place not far from Sidemen, in front of rice fields, next to a small and peaceful village. Worth taking the time to walk around and meet all friendly people. The staff is very nice and the food is excellent (they do cooking classes that looked amazing). Bungalows are very cosy, nice and spacious. Great moment! Keep it up!

The location is quite far from anywhere, but the restaurant is good to eat in.

Incroyable emplacement en pleine nature, face aux rizières et au milieu des arbres fruitiers… Petit hôtel très calme et authentique, le personnel est au petit soin et la cuisine est excellente ! Merci Mudi et toute l’équipe, je regrette juste de ne pas être restée plus longtemps !!

Le seul petit bémol est qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude pour la douche, mais on s’y fait très vite et ça devient même revigorant !

L’emplacement est dans la nature, éloigné mais superbe et entouré de rizières. Les chambres sont simples mais confortables. Le personnel est sympathique et serviable, avec mention spéciale à Wajan pour ses bons plans et à Mudi pour sa bonne humeur. La cooking class était exceptionnelle. L’endroit reste un très bon choix pour profiter du calme et de l'ambiance authentique de Sidemen.

Green Vanilla is an oasis in Bali. The host Mudi and everyone else who works there goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel home. The bungalows are so lovely to stay in, very clean and comfortable. The ac and hot water is also very nice. The front porch with the hammock on the bungalow is so relaxing! The restaurant and cooking class on site is AMAZING. Many other people come from nearby places just for the amazing food. I felt so lucky to stay here and call this home for my time in Sidemen.

The cats and dogs wandering around were the only downside. There were only three, but they were in quite poor condition and not clean. It’s not the property’s fault as there are many stray dogs all over Bali, but maybe they could do more to keep them away.

An absolute MUST stay for anyone considering a stay in east Bali. It truly is beautiful. The staff are wonderful and the cooking class exceeded expectations. An amazing day that started in the local market, then barefoot in the rice paddies picking vegetables followed by a very insightful cooking class with new friends. The place is spotless and the kittens were just the cherry on the cake!

We stayed at Green Vanilla Bungalow for 5 nights, and these days were the highlight of our 1 month long trip in Bali and Lombok without any doubt. The resort: The bungalows are comfortable and spacious, and the people working at the resort are super sweet and welcoming. Our bungalow had a porch with a comfy sofa where we could chill and read, plus we had an own kitchen with cooking facilities, a fridge and a water dispenser to refill our bottles when needed.The bungalows are also equipped with an AC and we had many nice hot showers. The bungalows are in the nature, hidden in their beautiful garden, so expect smaller animals visiting you sometimes (geckos, mosquitos). :) For us it was part of the charm of the place, and we didn't mind as the bed had a mosquito net. Talking about animals, on top of all these, we could spend some time playing with the cutest little kittens born only a few weeks ago. :) Surrounding: The Sidemen region is breathtakingly beautiful, and we really enjoyed getting lost in the nature with our scooter (that we rented at Green Vanilla Bungalow). Food: The place has its own restaurant and all the food we tasted was very, very tasty with the ingredients coming straight from their organic garden and fields. Activities: We had the chance to join their cooking class, which was exceptional, too! We started by visiting the market together, then picking the ingredients fresh in the fields, and finally cooking everything in their outdoor kitchen on an open fire. They were also kind enough to organize a sunrise tour for us to Mt. Batur with a stop at a hot spring after the early morning hike. All in all, couldn't recommend this place more if you're looking for a chilled out experience in Bali! We're really grateful for everyone working at the bungalows for making our stay such a wonderful experience. :)
