Green Vanilla Bungalow

3 nice bungalows, spacious clean and with a nice toilet (even if the hot water always has some problem). The location is ok, a bit out and not really surrounded by ricefields but still nice and quite. Is out from the “main” area of Sideman, which was good for my case. The food is good and freshly made. There is a small garden with a few different plants such Vanilla of course, passion fruit, cocoa, jackfruit etc. The staff is friendly

We just had some trouble with the hot water, and a dog barking a lot between 4am and 5am. As I previously said, the food is good but it takes ages to be ready. We ordered a simple red rice with chicken, vegetables and tempeh and it took literally 90 minutes to be ready (we were the only customers).

Beautiful location, what a nourishing, lush green view to wake up to and be surrounded by. This place really made me fall in love with the beauty of Sidemen. The sound of the wind moving through the leaves and the sunlight dappling the grounds makes you feel relaxed and happy. You must visit the nearby rivers, ask the staff for directions and transport. Literally farm to table for some of the fruits. Vegan food was so delicious, the tempe coconut curry was one of my best meals in Bali. They hold cooking classes too, heard good reviews from others. The shared seating areas are so calming. The swing was fun and such a great view to look out at! Bed is comfy. Thankful for the much needed mosquito net. Utterly in love with their sweet cow, 2 kittens and dog and miss them already! Staff were generally helpful, sweet, kind and gentle, thank you so much for helping me :) Tami especially was a real gem! She was generous, appreciative, fun and made me feel welcome, safe and cared for in a way that still respected my personal space. Great that you can pay by card for the room and meals.

Main door couldn't close properly and open bathroom meant loads of mosquitoes. Had to light incense each time I was in the room or bathroom. Would have liked a stronger water pressure. No soundproofing. Each time someone walked in the next door hut you can hear each footstep creak. And if people spoke near your hut you would hear every word clearly. If you are in the hut closest to the kitchen, you will wake up once the staff start talking in the morning so can't sleep in. Was quite uncomfortable with one of the female staff, who was at times too loud, attention-seeking, touchy and intrusive and didn't know how to respect basic boundaries. At check-in, I really wanted to take a shower but they had forgotten to replenish the toiletries.

Simply amazing! Very kind people, beautiful rooms, very clean. The nature & surroundings are wonderful. A must go if you are in Bali and are looking for a peaceful stay!

This place is such a gem! The location is amazing and the view of the rice terraces are stunning. The cooking class available is incredible, and they use wood fired stoves to cook everything and fresh ingredients. The bungalow is so cute, spacious and comfortable. Very rustic and charming. The host and staff is wonderful - they helped us with any bookings we needed and made sure we had everything.

The power went out while we were staying, so we couldn't use the air-conditioning or wifi for a time. They cook wonderful food, but it does take some to get your meal.

Mudi & Tammy are the absolute best! They just made our whole experience. So incredibly helpful, accommodating, they created home away from home. We didn’t want to leave. The setting is incredibly tranquil and completely breathtaking! We loved the location but it’s not central Sidemen if that is what you are after. The girls helped us get anywhere we needed to go, don’t let the location put you off! Do the cooking class, it’s awesome! The food both from the cooking class and the restaurant is the best food in Bali! Loved our time at Green Vanilla, can’t wait to visit again in the future! Thank you ❤️

The staff were lovely , cooking class interesting, comfortable bed, hot shower and clean. It is quite remote so not for folks who want a fancy restaurant to go to at night.

they do not answer messages. location impossible to find. spent two hours trying to find it, calling and messaging with no answer, locals had never heard of it, location on Google was just bush. total scam

This place is just amazing. Missing words to describe. The bangalows are very cosy and cute, air con working fine and hot shower. The staff are the best (very kind and helpful, just adorable), and the best cook. Even the most simple dish is made with love and just delicious. We loved fhe cooking class, one of the best experiences in one month in Bali.

The place is not really close to anything, so a motorbike is necessary (but they have it to rent with fair price). In other hand, it is very quiet, peaceful and the food is amazing, so why do you want to leave?
