The host stayed up for us when we were half an hour late. The breakfast was excellent

Caroline is lovely! She's a professional tennis coach as well as running the guest house which feels like a home from home. It's like turning up to a family home because she's thought of all the things that make you smile like a big kid such as the huge range of body washes and shampoos, the plentiful towels, comfy bed, range of food choice at breakfast and she's so kind and smiley. She has lots of local knowledge too. Lots of character but obviously a work in progress (some aspects freshly painted some looking in need of tlc but I know she'll get there) looking forward to returning soon. Cosy, relaxed and friendly but also spacious enough - the photos don't really show you how comfortable it is.

You can only lock your room door once inside and no safe provided - so you'll need to take valuables with you if you go out. There wasn't any hanging space as currently it's used for housekeeping storage. There are drawers but no coat hooks or rail which had it been raining might have been a problem. No hair dryer in the room.

Delicious breakfast, wonderful welcome from the host and a peaceful, relaxing break.

It is in a beautiful location but with a pub nearby for meals, nothing was too much bother for Caroline

Small cottage ! rooms need updating ! Grounds need TLC otherwise it's a very homely feel and fine for a stop over !!
