Puffin Cottage

Created by the host at the door Cara was very nice. The room was clean and well presented. Nice location with John O Groats 2 mins down the road.

It turns out I don't like sharing my bathroom...my problem not the property s. I am afraid I used booking.com to find a hotel near by with ensuite. I didn't stay at Puffin Cottage.

The room is very cozy, furnished with charming details and a very comfortable bed. You can see the lighthouse light in the distance from the window, which is great! Amazing breakfast with delightful tableware, lots of homemade treats and local products. Another highlight is the warm, helpful host and her petting farm. Would definitely book again!

it's a bit inconvenient that the window in the shared bathroom cannot be opened.

Such a lovely place. Cara the owner made us very welcome. Breakfast cereal toast eggs. Homemade bread jams etc. Bonus, you had the lovely animals to see

The accommodation met all expectations prior to booking. The room booked had typical British charm. The hostess was extremely accommodating and super friendly. The surrounding ambiance, the farm, is also an attraction and a welcome change from the usual touristic hotel monotony. Initial concerns about the bathroom, which has to be shared with other guests, proved to be unfounded. It was no problem at all. A lovely stay that certainly deserves an extension.
