Clean rooms. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed, nice TV.

Not really a hotel. Felt a bit like a hostel. A bit noisy and less private than expected.

It was not what I expected. It was a room in what seemed to be a HMO. I thought I was getting a low budget hotel. The staff in house had no means of collecting payment from a credit card. It was either bank transfer or cash. Thank goodness I had my banking app on me, otherwise I would have been embarrassed.

The bed was comfortable, though dirty. I got extra pillows, though dirty ones. Free soap in the bathroom

The first thing i am met with is the “receptionist”, i am told the door closes at midnight so i can’t go in after that, after asking for confirmation i am told i can knock the outside window to come in at any time after all. I go inside the place and the receptionist is itchy and tells me they had taken painkillers. I get a key, and my request of 2 pillows was forgotten, but quickly sorted by simply asking again. The room had multiple stains and spider webs, as well as the actual bedding itself, we had read this already but the reviews were quite old and we had seen a good few nice reviews as of recent so decided to give the benefit of doubt, bad choice. The floor was full of crumbles, seems like crisps. The bed itself was comfortable, but the mattress had multiple stains on it including blood stains, it was completely yellow. It was also incredibly creaky even with minor movement. The bed sheet didn’t fit properly and kept falling off. The blanket seemed fine at first but on closer look it had holes, and also dirty, we ended up taking the covers off to maybe feel a little more clean. The pillows were also quite dirty, so were the towels. It’s incredible that this is how it was even for the price range, it does not seem like anyone actually cleaned anything there. The night stand drawer was completely broken. The TV didn’t have a remote, though i didn’t mind as i didn’t want to even be in the room much at all. The bathroom was incredibly tiny, the toilet took up most of the space besides for the shower itself. The sink was made for a toddler, i couldn’t fit my hands. The door handle on the toilet would not open the door until you had turned it about 97% of the way, the bolt didn’t move before that. The bathroom was wet, and the towels provided were not clean. The door was not able to be closed in the room, only when locking it, which was also an issue as the lock was a bit finicky to use. The guests were quite loud, and so was the receptionist.

staff was really nice, beds were really comfy as well and nice showers as well, spacious room

i don’t think bolton is a safe area but you get what you payed for, there was semen on one of the headboards but we asked to switch rooms and they were happy to do so, they do offer towels but i bought one of my own as it did have a couple marks on it overall it was alright
