Lundy House Hotel

Good location. Quiet area. Communication via email was excellent.

Didn’t see any staff at all not even once. Hotel is B&B but due to staff training we were told we couldn’t book a breakfast. lay out of the room was all wrong, the mirror was not near a plug so couldn’t dry hair looking in the mirror. The bathroom was very poorly lit, no light above the mirror. Our room was at the front so looking at what looked like a building site.

The property was in a great location.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great and there was no where to dry clothes or towels however we asked and got a heater. The views were great but the bed was very uncomfortable as mattress hard and pillows were very big. Breakfast was nice.

The staff were very friendly. There was a lady who was from London who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area

I found the mattress a little uncomfortable. I think they were memory foam which we were not used to.

The location of the Lundy House is incredible - perfectly situated within walking distance of both Woolacombe and Morthoe! I would recommend to book one of the upper floor rooms, as your view is then totally unobstructed looking out to the ocean, which is priceless in this area as it is stunning. The hotel is very dog friendly, and the staff are wonderful with your dogs and care a lot to make your experience a friendly one - there are multiple walking areas for the dogs within a 1 minute walk out the door, and a lovely terraced garden immediately out back to explore. The beds are very comfortable and you couldn't find a more 'I'm at home' cozy feel here. I am definitely coming back next year!

The tea kettle was quite old, and the sitting chairs in the room quite old/uncomfortable/stained from use. No fridge in most rooms either, and the water pressure on the top floor was a bit hit or miss. But these were small things - definitely not enough to keep you from enjoying your stay!
