Bed and view pool wasnt clean

Way too many flies couldn't enjoy our stay Pool wasn't clean green around the edges on tiles and on steps the water was clear

The property was pretty, quiet and had a decent view of the Lake Batur. If you are looking for a quieter getaway, away from city life in a village, this home stay is good for that secluded experience. It’s not a hotel, it’s a home stay. I also really loved the bougainvillea at the main entrance. The only reason to go back to the hotel is the majestic bougainvillea spread

1. The location is really off the road. If you are traveling by a rented car or your own, this road is not the best road to take. It might give marks to your car and be sure that the car will be coated in complete dust. 2. The pool wasn’t in a condition to be used. 3. A bazillion flies were hovering around not allowing a moments peace 4. Breakfast was really modest and I don’t mean that in a flattering way.

The trek to Mount Batur organized by the manager was amazing, a very good guide that made beautiful photos of us. The view from the room was relaxing, seeing the mountain and the garden.

The manager touched my head and hair, that made me feel uncomfortable. No isolation, be ready to hear everything (people talking outside, dogs, construction works) as it is happening in your room. It’s quite far from the main street and in a difficult road, so you are dependent to someone to move around if you don’t have a bike.

The view, the personal, they have good food there and the room was clean and nice. They gave us the contact of a tourist guide for Mount Batur as well.

The road to get there is a bit difficult more durning the night

When I first arrived I was confused because it was dark and I wasn’t sure where I was. However… when I woke up I was pleasantly surprised with where I was. The view from the property is something I have never seen before with views of the mountains and greenery and of course Mount Batur. I was given authentic indo food (gado-gado) and for a good price which was great as I arrived late and did not feel like walking to find somewhere to eat. In the morning I was supported to go to the hot springs via scooter by the hosts and was also picked up once I was done with my time at the springs. I left a day early due to wanting to go and meet a friend down south and the hosts were quick to arrange a driver to take me down to Kuta and it was the hosts brother/brother in law and I had a great long drive down to Kuta. Overall really lovely hosts with genuine attitudes. FYI!!! Don’t worry about there not being aircon it does not matter. Trust me it does get cold at night and you will have a nice sleep. Also the bed and pillows were clean and comfortable which was great as many of my other accomodations throughout my trip were not that comfortable.

Bit of a hike up the driveway but the hosts will support with transport when required so it is a non-issue.

It was clean and had a comfy bed. The staff were amazing going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy! What a lovely family run business. Would 110% return.
