The Harbour Masters House

On a lovely scenic location overlooking the canal, the Harbour Master's House is imposing and impressive. Our host Darren could not have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming! Lovely room with dual aspect view of canal and walled garden. Lovely comfortable room and breakfast. Short walk to lively local pub!

Imposing 18th C house overlooking Grand Canal, few km outside Banagher. Quiet and pleasant place to stop for a night, interesting walk along canal in morning. Host was welcoming and check in smooth. Room was warm, comfortable and breakfast excellent. looking out onto well maintained garden.

Everything was very satisfactory.

Darren was a lovely host and made us feel at home from the start. Fine breakfast served both mornings. Beds were very comfortable. Good location with lively pub serving food close by. We enjoyed spending time in the cosy common area on our first evening, chatting and playing cards by the woodburner. Very relaxing stay and would readily recommend.

There was nothing to dislike.

House, hosts and breakfast was very good.

I think we ended up with the smallest double room which was comfy but a bit tight for space.

Great- nice gluten selection- sister liked the garden- thank you for sharing information about the area- really appreciate it - stopped in Birr - very nice town- thanks for the suggestion.
