Breakfast was excellent, home-made. Cozy room for it, easy to get to know other guests. Host had many good recommendations of what to see and do.

Price was a bit steep. The decor in the rooms was too much: less is more... Would also be good to know whether your room is up the stairs or not...

"It's a B&B, not a hotel, so the whole experience is more intimate than would be a hotel stay."

8.0

Location: very well situated for walking into town centre, restaurants etc. Host and hostess (Robin) were very knowledgeable of local area and Yellowstone, and very helpful in suggesting route to take into Yellowstone National Park. Robin very helpfully carried my partner's overnight bag up the stairs as she has respiratory problems. There seemed to be only 4 guests, including the two of us; fortunately the other couple, who were our table companions at breakfast, were very pleasant and personable and the conversation flowed.

This is maybe just a question of different countries' practices and eating habits: in England, either in hotel or B&B, breakfast would be a selection of cereals to start with, followed by bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and maybe baked beans, with the offer of either brown or white toasted bread; and finally, jam and/or marmalade with more toast. Breakfast at Robin's Nest was scrambled eggs and boiled bacon joint; no bread, just very sweet fairy cakes. Fresh fruit to follow, which we appreciated. On this trip we spent 24 nights in USA and for some reason, wherever we ate breakfast, the scrambled eggs were pretty tasteless and bland. Do they put butter and a little salt and pepper into making scrambled eggs in USA? And some cream, if there happens to be some in the fridge. If not, they should try it!
