Spacious room, great staff and food was delicious

Bit dated nowhere to eat before noon

Great location, good size room, quirky decor (loved the timber dinosaur outside) - the food in the pub was absolutely delicious too!

Food was good in the restaurant and the place is dog friendly.

The room was poor standard, toilet didn't flush properly then took ages to fill. Shower was old and very weak and if toilet was filling up there was no pressure at all. I've used public toilets that had better standard of fittings and better toilet paper. Only got one towel each no hand towel. Walls and paintwork was scuffed. Hairdryer in room had a switch missing! Kettle was old and covered in limescale. All the electrical equipment which had PAT stickers were dated 2017. The room seemed clean but one coffee cup hadn't been cleaned. All in all it was pretty dreadful. The restaurant is quirky but chairs are broken, walls are stained, even the flowers in jar on table were half dead sitting in an inch of green scummy water. They keep it quite dark in the restaurant and i dont think its for the atmosphere! .Also they dont offer breakfast and when compared to prices of other places we have stayed locally before with a lot better accommodation its not competitively priced. The reviews sound good which is why we booked, all I can say is they couldn't of stayed in same room and the good food distracted them from a crumbling establishment that clearly needs some maintenance and upgrades.

The owner Mark and his staff were super welcoming. The pub and garden area were a magical welcome and we spent a good few hours enjoying the lovely facilities. The room was clean and had all the essentials. Thanks for providing a fan! The view over the cricket field from our room was fabulous.

Bathroom was perfectly clean and functional but could do with some modernising. But really nothing I didn't like.

Lovely rooms, lovely location and fantastic staff The owner went out of his way to help us get ready for a wedding by making all our rooms available early.
