Mount Street House

The breakfast was outstanding. It was top quality and plentiful. The poached eggs were perfect and the fresh fruit bowl was excellent. The rooms are spacious and quirky. This is an old building, very sympathetically restored and to a very high standard. It is close to the centre of Brecon and all the local facilities. There is no dedicated parking though there is a bay directly opposite for unloading suitcases etc. There is ample road parking and lots of local car parks close by. The owners, Myfanwy and Nigel, were helpful, friendly and great hosts generally. My friends and I will definitely go back. I can highly recommend Mount Street House.

Nigel and Myfanwe were lovely, as was the lady that did breakfast for us, which was very good. Clearly this was the best choice for a stay in Brecon!

Central location in a town situated in a beautiful area. Accommodation comfortable and welcoming, breakfasts excellent and timings flexible. Simply put, a relaxing and stress free place to stay.

There were not bed side tables one of the bedhead lights did not work and it was possible in a dangerous condition due the the glass missing leaving the electrics open. The stairs were very steep and needed to take time to reach our bedroom.

Duvet too hot and no alternative. Sash window wouldn't stay open
