High Grade Ella

Great place with the view of nine arches. But rooms are smelly because of the mould, my Son has been very sick since we went there. A/Con doesn’t work, no TV as mentioned there. No parking at the site. You must climb the hill to get there. Tuk tuk even drives the hill very slowly. Need lot of maintenance to keep the place to live in order. Beautiful view. But sad to say that’s not the place for anyone to spend their time.

I stayed there on my own and there are just two rooms, so I didn't have any company, which could be very nice if you are not a solo traveler. If you want to go out to east, Ella is a tuktuk ride away

We lived in the lowest 3 bedroom, which was very damp an moisty. Aircondition did not solve that. We had to take out our clothes and bags on the balcony, due to the damp smell.

Amazing view on the bridge! Full Sri Lanka breakfast on the balcony. Very spacious room. Owners are super friendly. You really sleep in jungle! Some animals can come to your balcony in the morning. Also, there is only 7 min walk to the bridge. You cannot come by car directly to guest house, but owners provide you a TukTuk service.

The humidity is awful high, I understand that the climate here is too wet, but all your belongings will have musty smell, and they will be wet. It is a miracle that I didn’t take a big suitcase here, only backpack. Now I am trying to find laundry in my next place of stay ;(( Also, be prepared, that this place is amazing just to come, sleep, eat and walk to the bridge. It is not in the center of Ella, there is no shops, cafes or restaurants. (I read reviews carefully, so for me it was very comfortable).

Great view of the nine arch bridge from the huge terrace. The accommodation is super private and calm. Big rooms and very clean. The family is nice and welcoming

Keep in mind that it is super close to the nine arch bridge but at the same time you need a tuktuk to get to town and all the other places.

Lication is siruated in a fascinant environment. Everywhere you look is green, woods and birds. The view towards nine arches bridge is enchanting.

The place is a hidden gem, with amazing views and you feel like flying there. The family that takes care of the place are just amazing and they prepared the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka. The room is spacious with brand new bathrooms.

You need to walk a bit or get a tuk tuk to arrive to the property but it is worth it
