Libby was so friendly. There was a cup of tea and homemade cakes on arrival. The room was spotless, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious plus there was so much choice. On our second day we had welshcakes in our room. Libby was very helpful with directions and suggesting somewhere to eat. A little gem! Very quiet, easy access to Hay on Wye. Ideal for our short break.

"Great location for relaxing stay with beautiful countryside views a few miles from Hay"

Charming and friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. Spacious rooms with plenty of hanging space (and hangers!) and nice views of the countryside. Use of fridge. In nice weather you can sit outside in the large garden. The hosts have books of recommended local walks etc.

TV in room perhaps a little small, though picture quality is very good.

We were made to feel very welcome at Highfield by our hosts. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the house is in a beautiful location, close to Hay-on-Wye where we were meeting friends. Breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice. Lovely personal touches, we would definitely return. Highly recommended.

A lovely escape with beautiful views and comfy rooms. A perfect base to come back to after roaming the hills and wandering around Hay. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast overlooking rolling hills and gambolling sheep.
