Bonatsa Beach House

-The Cocomat mattress and pillows -the breakfast -the staff who were kind and friendly

-far too expensive for Rooms to Let that have been renovated. -the breakfast was served in another hotel of the same chain 4klm distance but this is something we only learned upon arrival

As i already informed both booking and Aria already knows that I didn’t stay not even a minute when i saw the bonatsa beach supposedly house.

Everything.

The breakfast was good with a variety of options and the two ladies preparing the breakfast were kind and helpful.

Upon our arrival we were informed during check in process that the beach bar (Bonatsa Retreat) of the hotel was still under construction/closed without any prior notification from the hotel's side. On the contrary, one week prior to arrival, we received couple of emails where Bonatsa Beach House promoted their amenities and we even had a call with their central office to discuss the available facilities. The sunbeds on the front of the beach house were also not available. When we asked for sunbeds to be arranged, the hotel arranged for two sunbeds (without umbrellas) to be placed on the beach. From the 1st day we expressed our disappointment due to the fact that we have chosen Bonatsa Beach House for its facilities (promoted in numerous photos on booking) and without any notice we found out that those facilities (which is the reason why someone will pay a higher daily rate) were not available. One day before our departure and after our constant complaints we finally reached an agreement for a discount on the total fee of our stay. In our view, it would be professional for the hotel to inform their guests in advance in case the facilities advertised on Booking and in their welcoming emails are not available for whatever reason and do not expect the guests to find out during check in. In our view, the discount should have also been proposed by the hotel's side in the first place and they should not have expected the guests to complain for a few days and then at the end of the stay agree to a discount.

The location is great. Just a few meters from a very nice sandy beach. The view from the shared balcony is unobstructed. The politeness and assistance from the staff, Leonidas and Valentina.

The major disadvantage of Bonatsa is that all their 3 rooms share one common balcony with a view to the sea. The entrance to all rooms was from this shared balcony. The result was no privacy at all if we wanted to enjoy the view either from inside the room or from the balcony. Whenever other guests went in and out of their rooms they had to pass in front of our door. If we wanted privacy we had to keep the door & window shut with no view to the sea. The cleaning team is not very time flexible. If you need the room when they arrive to clean the 3 rooms of the facility and you don't free it up in their time window for this job, the cleaning will be skipped. Overall the cleaning & making up of the room could improve. Twice during our 5 night stay upon our return to the room around 20.00pm there was no hot water. As a welcome when we checked-in there was a soda beverage in our room. Unfortunately only one to share with my wife. Considering the premium price of Bonatsa, one for each guest would be much more appreciated. Our conclusion for Bonatsa is that there is a misalignment between the value the customer gets for the price they pay (Eur 260/night), primarily due to the fact that guests have to sacrifice privacy to enjoy a view to the sea.

Loved the location. Right on the beach with umbrella and lounge facilities included. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Valentina made us a beautiful breakfast every morning!

Check in at the port office took a lot of time cause staff was also offering concierge services. Need to fix this.
