El Puerto Bed and Breakfast

Greeting, Location, perfect place for a few days.

The stairs, it is not a showstopper but something to consider when you are traveling for a longer period and have large suitcases.

I booked this room for my mother, she felt very welcomed, warmed and, in general, like at home. Breakfast was homemade and excellent, she liked it very much. An additional thanks to the owner - Ria, for her her attention and wonderful service.

Top room but stairs a bit steep

Ria is a great host and takes care of everything. we even got free washing and the breakfast every morning is incredible (timing fully flexible). the view onto the harbour is great and decoration/equipment of the room really lovely. it even had a sun shower and a whirl pool bath tub. location perfect as not in the middle of the city.

in summer you can watch a lot of caravans just opposite (boats are further away). if you stay longer you might want to clarify room cleaning frequency.

We paid extra for the breakfast which was delivered to our room by Maria. There was an excellent choice of items, fresh fruit, yoghurt, delicious bread rolls, boiled eggs, fresh orange juice. Maria was an excellent host, extremely welcoming and helpful. The view from the bedroom over the harbour was stunning. Bathroom was spacious and very clean, with a bath and a separate shower. We loved our stay in Hoorn, such a peaceful and interesting place. We recommend the one hour harbour tour for €15 each, including drinks, tickets available at the Oosterisland Museum.

The bed was a bit creaky and not very comfortable.

Lovely big room with nice views. Great shower and spa bath. Ria was a friendly helpful host. Short walk to the train station and just 30 minutes on the train to Amsterdam. Great location in a lovely picturesque small city. WiFi was good.

2 single duvets on the bed but I improvised by turning them horizontally. I couldn't operate the blinds in the bathroom which made me feel a bit exposed.

Location was stunning, room was a great size and the host was amazingly friendly and helpful! There’s a little shop outside as well in case you need anything in a hurry that you might have forgotten.

The funfair was on which was a bit loud but that’s not the location or hosts problem at all!!

I stayed in a small apartment on the last floor. It is furnished with great care and aesthetic sense. A wonderful bathroom with shower and Iacuzzi. The windows are on each side with a view of the small port of Hoorn and also of the Markenmeer. I used the kitchen for breakfast and also for dinner. Really very comfortable and relaxing. A fantastic experience to close my journey through Holland!
