"Secluded hideaway surrounded by green rolling hills, animals and a sunset."

Friendly and welcoming hosts, who left breakfast out for me, knowing I was going to have a very early check out. The room was warm and comfortable and location is stunning, a working livery with great views.

A TV would have been great, luckily I had my iPad with me. Also the floorboards creak loudly in the bathroom and the TV from the other part of the house was quite loud until around 10:30pm

"Such a welcome break from the hurly burly of London life"

The hosts were friendly, accommodating and helpful. They recommended somewhere for me to eat nearby and found a well reviewed hairdresser where I could have my hair curled to meet new family members later the next day.. Invaluable!!!! The breakfast was continental and included plenty of options.

The only thing that surprised me was that there wasn't a television in my room. Even if it is just to listen to the news it is good to have a TV and if you are on your own, as I was, it would have provided a bit of company.

Peaceful location overlooking Alkborough flats (wetland on edge of Humber estuary where the rivers Ouse and Trent converge) which was ideal for our weekend plans. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and whilst the bed was a little smaller than used to it was very comfy. The host Sue was nice and friendly and we felt very relaxed at the property.

"we were made to feel very welcome and the facilities were superb."

We were greeted by the owners on arrival with a very warm welcome. The room was lovely and warm and well equipped with everything we could need. The breakfast hamper was more than adequate. The property is in a very quiet location and combined with a very comfortable bed made for two great night’s sleep. we will definitely visit again when we return to the area.

We can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
