They don’t have internet connection

The room was really clean. Not a speck of dust or stain anywhere. I have asthma and cleaning lady avoided using heavy cleaning products which is so rare. Usually, no one cares.

The first room I was in had so many defects in the bathroom (door won't close because the door was hanging, ventilator kept working because someone smashed the light switch that turns the light on and off and ventilator at the same time, shower cabin was leaking, radiator leaking if you turn it on) The linen I was given was 100% synthetic which was horrible. I have complained and was moved into another room. There, the water was running so slowly that it was practically impossible to use both sink and bidet but everything else was better then the first room. The fact that both rooms have one small roof window is making them dark and there is no view. They don't offer breakfast which is pretty strange when the rooms are part of the restaurant. Ok, restaurant opens at 11 but if there is a will there is a way to make breakfast happen, right? Since there is no breakfast, to have at least a kettle would be nice. The fact that one is a paying customer (paying is at the arrival in advance otherwise I would be gone after first night) is not appreciated. I have mentioned all the shortcomings to the staff and the answer I got was: This is how things are everywhere in Croatia. We know about them but there is nothing we can do. Batak rooms was an excellent idea but realisation is horrible. This was an experience I don't want to repeat. Our accommodation really suited our purpose for visiting with family, and we were readily able to extend our stay. Staff were most helpful in the flexibility provided. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, and there was good access to a supermarket across the road, as well as the bus stop for travel to Zagreb.

The only disappointing part of our stay, was no wifi connection to the room which became increasingly problematic in making plans with family locally, and communicating with our Australian families.
