Bridge House Bed & Breakfast

Bridge House Bed and Breakfast offered excellent accommodation. Lynn and Paul were so welcoming, friendly and helpful . Our twin room was furnished to a very high standard with lots of attention to detail and it was very clean and comfortable. The property has a lovely garden which is nice to sit in. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice on offer and the dining room was very well furnished.

I cant find fault with this bed and breakfast.

A very warm welcome from Lyn and her husband on arrival. Room was excellent the ensuite was super. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was superb all freshly cooked. Thoroughly recommend staying there.

Exceptional staff - Lynn really looked after us - make me a packed lunch as i missed breakfast which was very thoughtful. Proper hosts and great customer service.

The bnb was exceptional,the hosts Lynne and paul were lovely very welcoming nothing was to much for them,cant wait for our next stay,must say they make some lovely home baked bread a must try.I would recommend this bnb if your going to stay in that area.Full marks to the lovely hosts.

Cant say there was anything we disliked.

Me and my friend are ladies in our early thirties who went to a local family event. Our stay was very bizarre and completely ruined by the host's behaviour. There is a 1am curfew at this property which the hosts did not tell us about in person (although it is included at the very bottom of the property page in small-print). You are not given a key to the front door, only a bedroom key which you have to hand in on the way out. Host Lynn was very chatty at check-in but simply told us "we won't sleep until you get back". After check-in, we headed to our event, then arrived back at the property 40 minutes after the curfew, and were locked out of the property (where our things were). We were eventually allowed back in by an angry, intimidating Paul who shouted at us "You are packing and leaving first thing in the morning!". Paul then locked us into the foyer of the house, without giving us our bedroom keys. Intimidated and a bit confused, we called Lynn who came downstairs to let us back into our rooms. After we went to bed, Lynn knocked at our door at about 2am and proceeded to come into our room, sit on my bed and talk to us for about an hour about her personal issues, attempting to guilt-trip us into staying for the second night and pay the full price. There was no way we were staying another night after being shouted at by Paul. In the end we had to reassure Lynn that we would sort things out in the morning. It was about 3am by the time she left our bedroom and the next morning we were exhausted. The next day, Lynn agreed that we could just pay for the one night, but overcharged me by £20. The hosts also locked me out of the review tool - I had to ask Booking.com to be allowed back in. I wonder how many guests this has happened to and how many bad reviews are missing.
