Canggu Wooden Green Paradise

There was a noisy construction site nearby.

A lovely communal pool area and, overall, a quiet location with (mostly) clean facilities. The private villa with a pool was also very nice (I didn't like the bungalow with a garden view—see below). The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had booked a bungalow with a garden view, as that was the only option available at the time. What I hadn’t realized (and wasn’t clear in the description) was that there were two of these rooms, which shared a very open area with a kitchen. My room was directly across from this kitchen and had no other windows. If I had wanted privacy, I would have had to close my curtains and would then have been sitting in the dark. Not all rooms are like this, but the information on booking.com was very misleading. ....I was able to upgrade to a villa with a private pool (obviously I had to pay for that upgrade) and after all I really enjoyed that villa during my stay. On the day of my arrival, I saw a rat on the kitchen counter—as you can imagine, I did NOT try any food or drinks at the hotel!

Perfect!! Staff are wonderful, villa was lovely and clean, private, had massages at the villa and the floating breakfast was fun. It was exactly as pictured and just what we’d hoped for (once we moved villas). Location is great, so quiet and peaceful yet walking distance to plenty of shops and just a short scooter ride to restaurants and the Canggu centre

Our first villa was over looked by a construction sight, not what we’d hoped for so they moved us back one and it was perfect. They are trying to make it more private in the other villa, they have a plant wall they’re trying to grow, it will just take time.
