Tanjong Tinggi Cottage

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tanjungtinggi Cottage, and it was a fantastic experience! The cottage is located in a peaceful area, perfect for relaxation and escaping the busy daily life. The rooms are cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I was impressed by the thoughtful touches and well-equipped facilities, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The real highlight of this place is the exceptional hospitality. Askan, the host, was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to provide helpful recommendations and tips about the local area. Yoyok, the owner, was also very kind and gave us great advice on places to visit in Belitung. Both of them made our stay feel truly special. The cottage offers free bikes for guests, which is a great way to explore the surroundings. It’s also perfect for both solo travelers and families. There is a small pool, which is great for children, and the peaceful setting is ideal for relaxation. Another plus is the convenience of being able to order food to the cottage, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The house keeper also helped us with motorbike rentals and booking tourist boats. There’s free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and warm water in the cottages, which added extra comfort. Overall, I highly recommend Tanjungtinggi Cottage to anyone visiting Belitung. With its great service, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities, it’s a perfect place to stay. I’ll definitely return! 10/10!

This was one of the best holiday that we have ever experienced. The neighbourhood was very friendly. Not to mention there were a lot of greens from the surrounding trees and blue skies everywhere. Very suitable for exercising (we did a lil bit of running and jogging around the area). The location is very strategic. Very close to tanjung tinggi beach and bycycles were provided free of charge by the property. The property facilities were also top notch. They provided free wifi, hot water in the bathroom and spacious swimming pool. The owner was very helpful and accomodating. They were gladly helping us in renting the boat for island hopping and motorbike for travelling. Overall, excellent property and trip. We would definitely recommend to any other tourists.

A great location in a lovely village, easily walkable to the beaches and a nice restaurant (Selera Kite). Well looked after by Askan, who was very helpful. WiFi in the communal area and rooms - even though the description says there isn't any internet. Very friendly local people, always greeting us with a Hello! and a wave. Convenient car transfer and good value scooter hire.

Bicycles too small for anyone over about 160cm.

Very cute cottages in a quiet location, Askan was amazing and so helpful! My stay wouldn’t have been the same without Askan looking after me! In a really nice part of Belitung, you definitely need a motorbike to get around but they provide them for a cheap price per day :) Thank you so much!

Belitung... a beautiful island that you should definitely visit! A real alternative, not just for Seychelles lovers. The UNESCO Geopark offers travelers endless picturesque landscapes and locations, from lush green natural paradises to breathtaking beaches.  Belitung is not yet really developed for tourism and so a probably quite impersonal stay in one of the few large hotels would not have been an option for us. If you want to get to know the country and its people, the Tanjung Tinggi Cottage is a wonderful place for you! Idyllically located in the village of the same name, you will find the ideal starting point for exploring the island. Even before you arrive, the owners, Yoyo, and Askan, the cottage manager, are available to help and advise you on any questions you may have and you feel like you are coming home to good friends. On site you benefit from their willingness to help through explanations and insider tips about the island, free provision of bicycles, arranging good and cheap scooters, preparing breakfast of your choice and much more. No effort is spared to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible. It's not far to the nearby fantastic beach, Tanjung Tinggi, about 5 minutes by bike or scooter, about 20 minutes on foot. Belitung at Tanjung Tinggi Cottage - highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

breakfast is delicious, location close to the beach, accomodation have new cafe in side so easy to order food and drink. We love the room and hospitality people in the village. very recomended

Askan and Juju are great people, they made sure everything was well. The location is of nice half hour walking distance from the Tanjung Tinggi beach. The breakfast was a nice nasi or mie goreng made by the hosts freshly at your own specified time. Also, we got some small foldable bikes that we could use for free to explore around and go visit Balancing Rock, which was great! I would definitely go back there to stay.

On arrival the room was not yet made or cleaned. However, Juju and Askan both helped out and arranged everything as on the website. Only the pool was not maintained so not in use, but it also was the end of the dry season so very understandable. Great stay nontheless.

Amazing stay in Belitung. The cottages are very lovely and cozy and just few minutes from a beautiful beach. Askan was very kind and helpful with everything we needed We loved our stay, thank you very much and can only recommend.

a great spot on the island; fantastic little place with only 3 bungalows. virtually had the place to myself. very well looked after, with many food and sightseeing suggestions. helped with bike rental and everything. I adore geckos and my room was full of them; handy as the island has a lot of mozzies who attack night and day, but I never got bitten in the room. loved the island and how friendly and helpful everyone was. Pak Asksn the housekeeper was around every day, bringing me breakfast and making sure I was ok. couldn’t recommend enough! 😊

minor thing, but I’m not a fan of cold showers. As mentioned, the island has a few mosquitoes, but I couldn’t find repellent on sale anywhere; just about had enough with me. I love places like this, but it is rustic and the neighbours cockerels think 3am is a good time to start the day, so ear plugs are advisable.
