Hope Inn

Location was where we wanted it to be, away from the busy area. If we want to go to the touristy areas, we'd just ride a tricycle or rent a motorcycle like any tourist would. The owners were very kind and very responsive to messages. The caretakers, especially ate Bibi, are so kind. She and the kuyas make the breakfast everyday and they are made with care. One of us had a vegetarian diet and they accommodated that! If you cross paths with them during the day, they'd check up on you how your day was and everything! If you had a very early tour day (usually the island hopping), they'd insist on packing the breakfast for you to make sure you've had something to eat for the tour! We felt bad on making them prepare the breakfast very early so we told them we'll just skip it but they didn't mind and prepared and packed it! Their dining and bar area is open plan so its very relaxing to hang out there during meals due to their lovely garden and trees.

The room where we were had a noisy aircon at times (probably when we set the temperature very low and the model was old and we made it work extra hard) but the other rooms are newer so they have the newer, quieter aircon units. :-) Me and the caretakers had a conversation about it because they want to know what else can be improved upon. A very admirable trait for a host. One thing to note that does not reflect Hope Inn. No matter where you are on the island, eating at restaurants (I got three mosquito bites on one dinner meal alone) or doing land tours, DO NOT FORGET TO PUT ON MOSQUITO REPELLENT LOTION OR SPRAY! Otherwise, I highly recommend Hope Inn

We only stayed for one night as we moved onto Bohol. But our night was so amazing. The room was clean, Wi-Fi was good. But our highlight was the staff (I’m so sorry that I forgot your names) we were going to go out for a walk in the evening and we were invited to have dinner with the staff and the owners. We had such an amazing night and we are still blown away with your generosity and hospitality! We will always remember your kindness! Salamat po!

It is such a beautiful and homely place to stay in. You walk and you feel like it is home away from home. The owner Margie is so accommodating it doesn’t feel like you are just another guest, but family. The staff are great too and very kind/humble so it is definitely a bonus to have on top of this awesome place near the beach. I highly recomment and encourage for you to try this little gem in Panglao!

The dining area is nice, the staff and owner are welcoming, when I mentioned I think the room is a little too dim, they changed the bulb immediately. the owner is also nice to send me to a resort where I spent my day just chilling as it’s holy day all most places are closed. it has a cozy feeling and good energy.

I think they have other better rooms. the one I had was not so comfortable and cleanliness needed improvement. there were mosquitoes but they sprayed my room so when I returned back, it’s all gone. I found a cockroach in the bathroom at night, fortunately, the next morning, it was gone and I would take my shower.

The staff were incredibly friendly, taking time to chat to you and organising tours and transportation. Nothing was too much for them and they went above and beyond. Great value for money, located near a beach and only about 100 pisos motorbike ride to Alona beach. Beautiful setting and comfortable room. Highly recommend Hope Inn and would definetly stay again.

It was peaceful but only thing to mention is the walls are quite thin to next room so I could hear them, aswell as the animals and insects outside. Easily solved with ear buds 🙂

Helpful staff and good communication. Quiet through the night. Flexible check in and secure establishment. Room change made quickly after dissatisfaction first night.

I suggest upper floors - not surprised by cockroach and mini ants but having my feet bit by red ants at the entry necessitated my move from ground level. The second room had many mini ants and the shower heater was TOO hot at the low setting to use. The closest beach entry, at the bottom of the road, is pay entry (100P), but pleasant. It seemed that there was only one breakfast option. The location necessitates renting a scooter or hiring rides. (A personal pet peeve is when the rental is not delivered full. Just means that you are donating gas on top of your rental fee.)

I absolutely loved staying at the Hope Inn . It’s only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Dumaluan beach. The rooms are very clean and comfortable , have a good shower , brilliant Wi-Fi , and Tv to watch . You get a free breakfast aswel which was tasty , and nice coffee . The best thing about Hope Inn is the owner and her family staff which they welcome you with open arms and treat you like one of the family . I loved every minute . Thanks Hope Inn , it was a absolute pleasure to have stayed 🙏.
