Chez Sé

Nous sommes un couple de cyclotouristes qui réalisons un tour de l’Irlande à vélo. Nous sommes enchantés de notre étape chez Sé ! Une jolie halte dans un environnement de verdure et de calme. Tout était parfait… et par-dessus tout, la disponibilité et la grande gentillesse de notre hôte ! Sé nous a fait partager son savoir, nous a donné de bons conseils et nous a évité l’erreur de faire des kilomètres inutiles… (à vélo c’est précieux) Merci pour tout, Sé, et merci pour votre délicieuse omelette aux champignons du breakfast. Promis, je ne révélerai pas ici votre méthode secrète de confection ! 😂 En tout cas, si un jour nous revenons pour compléter nos visites, ce sera chez vous ! …👍

Den ersten Aufenthalt von unserem Irlandurlaub durften wir in dieser tollen Unterkunft verbringen. Seamus ist ein bezaubernder Mann und ein überaus netter Gastgeber! Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen 😊

Warm and friendly

Séamus' Frühstück ist geradezu legendär :D Séamus selbst ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, möchte seine Gäste einen guten Service anbieten. Mit ihm kann man sich über fast alles unterhalten und seine Wahl der Sender beim abendlichen Fernsehen war hervorragend. Das Haus ist in einem grünen, ruhigen Wohngebiet, zu Fuß gelangt man aber in 10 Minuten bis eine halbe Stunde zu Takeaways, kleine Geschäfte, ein paar Kneipen, zum Bahnhof und sogar in die Stadt. Ein Bus (101) hält auch nicht weit weg und fährt in die Stadt oder nach Balbriggan, Swords und Dublin Airport. Abends war es sehr schön, raus aus der doch eher lauten Stadt zu kommen; wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.

Die Unterkunft ist ja eine B&B und kein Luxushotel, uns hat aber eigentlich alles gut gefallen.

Easy to locate, comfortable.

Bathroom was external to the bedroom.

The property was bright & clean. It was close to where we were doing our voluntary work - and in a nice area. We slept great. The host went to great rounds to ensure we had the food we’d like for breakfast and even pushed the boat out to try a dish a bit different from the usual spec. And it was delicious.

Unfortunately it didn’t have its name up so we had to go in to enquire if we were in the right place. Parking seemed a bit of an obstacle, with the host requiring the driver to drive very close to a kerb even though there was ample room without having to do that. While it was lovely & clean, there was only one chair in the double room. However, our host kindly allowed us to use the garden where we could chill out during sunset.
