Riverbank House Bed and Breakfast Innishannon

Excellent breakfast. They were very good at meeting our dietary needs. Heather and Adam were delightful hosts with good information.

Fantastic property with amazing river view, brilliant hosts and very comfortable bed

This is a unique and historical property set in lovely surroundings and views. Adam and Heather are excellent hosts and really look after you. Whilst the breakfast isn’t a “full Irish” as such it was still plentiful with fresh fruits, yoghurts and lots of fresh local produce, you even get to meet the “ladies” who laid your eggs for breakfast as they roam around the property. The wildlife outside the property in the Bandon River is also a treat we saw the seal on the first day and herons almost every day of our 4 night stay.

There isn’t much not to like about the property so you have to think hard. Maybe the lack of a “full Irish breakfast” with sausages, bacon etc may put a few people off but it does give you an opportunity to try the other excellent produce and fresh smoked salmon. Whilst it is in a beautiful setting the lack of a footpath to get into innishannon itself means you need to take the car. There’s an interesting walk at the rear of the property that takes you along country lanes about 4 miles into Bandon town.

The hosts, the house and the location .

Heather and Adam have a beautiful B&B. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with home made jams, poached eggs cooked perfectly. Heather and Adam are great hosts and gave us good advice on sightseeing.
