Knightsbrook Guesthouse

The room was a very nice size with a large comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The shower was large and powerful too. The house was a short 20 minute walk into Trim centre or you can take the slightly longer scenic walk along the river and take in all the medieval ruins along the way which was very pleasant. Mary was an excellent host and cooked us an amazing breakfast. There was even a wide variety of other bits including fruits, yogurts and cereals if we wanted with multiple refills of tea and coffee, we felt very spoilt at breakfast and well looked after. Tony very kindly gave us a lift to the castle when the weather was bad which was very much appreciated too.

Everything was great

I arrived just before 9.00pm. After showing me to my room, Mary made me a very welcome pot of tea and provided a few treats with it. The room and bathroom were spotless. Extremely comfortable bed, if you had forgotten any toiletries there was no shortage of them. For breakfast, a great choice of fresh fruit,yoghurt, cereal. But the Irish Breakfast was fantastic and will keep you going for most of the day. Lovely house and Mary was more than helpful and friendly, would highly recommend it and hopefully I'll make a return visit.

Lovely family run B&B. Great place to stay perfect for visiting Trim Castle and Newgrange. Proprietors are lovely people and breakfast was quite nice.

There seemed to be limited/no hot water in the late afternoon. Not a big deal unless you like to shower at night

So many things. Mary was a lovely caring hostess who provided us with wonderful breakfasts and offers or team or coffee anytime. The room was superb with lots of space and a nice deck to step out onto. While we didn't use the gardens they were beautifully manicured with lovely peaceful seating areas. The location itself was very convenient with a history filled walking trail nearby all along the Boyne to the centre of Trim. Must be one of the best surviving medieval castles in Ireland. It was also convenient base to visit New Grange and then the airport for flight.

Hospitality was superb, and the whole place was homely and immaculately clean. Breakfast was very good, full fry, etc. The host was lovely and very helpful. The location was about 10mins from Trim.

Location was ideal for bus access (across the street!) for one hour ride to Dublin. Also within 45 minutes of Hill of Tara and Bru na Boinne....incredible historic sites!! Most memorable was Mary's welcome to us. She was like everyone's favorite grandmother caring for our every need...snacks for the trip, sandwiches for plan trip home, and delicious breakfasts each morning. A day in Trim with a tour of the castle and walks along the river exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend to all!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Knightsbrook Guesthouse. The room was nicely decorated and cosy. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Mary really went out of her way to accommodate our breakfast needs! We would definitely recommend this guesthouse, and we shall be returning at some point in the near future.
