Oro Beach Houses

Beautiful location next to Oro beach. Oro beach is a beautiful place for sunsets and swimming at high tide. The beach is often very quiet and feels like a private beach. At low tide there are some exceptional shells to find and Little Rock pools to discover. There is even a Yoga house where we loved doing yoga/ workouts whilst facing out onto the sea. The staff at Oro beach are extremely kind and generous. By the end of our 2 week stay here we felt like family and they wanted to help with all aspects of our stay ranging from cleaning our clothes to organising moped hire for a very fair price. The food that is offered here is delicious with a nice, varied selection of healthy and local foods. Siska and the Oro beach team were so helpful in organising a special meal after proposing to my partner on the beach. They went above and beyond in every way and we will be forever grateful for their kindness and love. Oro beach is perfectly situation in a calm and nature based environment where you can have amazing sunsets, star gazing and snorkelling all on your doorstep. Very quickly you can scooter into Tambolaka and explore the local town and further down the coast or inland for adventurous days.

La plage facile d’accès, l’ambiance du lieu, les fruits à dispo.

Les repas plutot chers si on veut de la viande (comparé à ailleurs en indonésie), surtout que le poulet n’était pas assez cuit, on a dû demander qu’ils le remette au grill (mais bon ça peut arriver). Le wifi accessible seulement depuis le banc à l’entrée mais pas depuis les chambres. Mais globalement l’endroit est sympa, le cadre vraiment chou.

Leaving Oro House felt like saying goodbye to family – I had to wait a month before I could even talk about it without getting emotional. Oro House was my home in Sumba - I had the most amazing time here. During my week-long stay, I watched sunset at their private beach every single day, and even got to see a double rainbow once! They have this gorgeous secluded beach perfect for sunbathing and swimming. To me, this is the most welcoming place in West Sumba. Siska gave me great travel tips while encouraging me to discover my own adventures. Her family and friends made me feel so cared for - I always had delicious food and ice-cold Bintang beers at the home restaurant. They've got tons of Sumba books at reception too (especially super helpful Sumba-info). I missed here already when i on my flight to Bali. Hope to return someday. So grateful to Siska and the whole family. Quick practical stuff: • Only 15 mins drive from Tambolaka Airport • Well-paved roads from both airport and town • Convenient Indomart runs if u have a scooter

A localização mesmo na praia. A comida vegetariana maravilhosa. O staff 5*. Lugar ideal para descansar e desligar.

Apesar de termos adorado a localização junto à praia, fica isolado, sem restaurante ou supermecado ao redor. Apenas acessível de carro ou mota.

La posizione a pochi metri dalla spiaggia è incredibile, lo staff gentilissimo e la cucina cbe offriva piatti più che validi.

Frequenza pulizia camera da fare più spesso.

Nous avons été très déçues par notre séjour dans ces petites maisons. Dès notre arrivée, il y a eu un malentendu concernant le paiement : j’avais pourtant effectué un pré-paiement via Booking, mais on m’a obligée à payer à nouveau sur place. J’espère ne pas être débitée deux fois, mais aucune vérification sérieuse n’a été faite. De plus, la personne à l’accueil s’est montrée extrêmement désagréable, agressive et menaçante. Elle m’a parlé de façon très incorrecte, me disant que si je ne payais pas, je ne pourrais pas partir — alors que je montrais la preuve de mon paiement. Je ne me suis pas sentie en sécurité. Quand bien même il y avait un malentendu, ce n'est pas normal de parler comme ceci à une personne. Quant aux conditions de logement, elles sont loin de correspondre aux photos ou aux attentes : – la douche ne fonctionne presque pas, il y a à peine un filet d’eau, et l’eau est glacée – la chasse d’eau marche une fois sur deux – il y a un nid de fourmis dans la salle de bain – on entend les voisins comme s’ils étaient dans la même chambre – la moustiquaire est sale – une des fenêtres ne ferme pas – une lumière blanche reste allumée toute la nuit dans la chambre, impossible à éteindre Je ne recommande pas cet endroit. Ce séjour a été très inconfortable et stressant.

Zcela odlehlé místo, bez bazénu, ale u pláže. (Pozor na velké odlivy, přílivy). Jednoduše zajištěné. Obsluha nadstandardní, jídlo nejlepší z pobytu na Sumbě. Pro krátkodobé pobyty ideální. Úžasné procházky po pláži přímo u ubytování. Nádherné noční oblohy s mléčnou dráhou.
