Bed and Breakfast Hans en Gridje

Hans & Gridje were simply the best hosts we have ever had the privilege to meet. On arrival after a long day in the saddle (motorbike), the welcome we had was so warm and friendly it was like arriving to stay with friends. Their attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was beyond first class. The bed was super comfortable providing a sound nights sleep, which was well needed after our long journey. The breakfast provided the following morning was most definitely the best breakfast we have ever had in iur 35 years of travelling. My only regret was that we were not staying longer. We would definitely come back when we travel this way next time. We can not recommend this establishment highly enough truly a jewellery.

As we were two friends travelling together we booked this as it had two bedrooms. However just before our arrival we were told that the second bedroom would only be available for a further 100 euros and was locked. There was only a double bed in the main bedroom so my friend slept on the couch. Just think this should have been clearer when booking and we would then have gone elsewhere. However as per usual we made the best of it.

Hans and Ingrid were very welcoming. The area around the house is really nice and the breakfast was a 12/10. We would have loved to stay longer.

Lovely, friendly hosts who provided a superb breakfast downstairs. The apartment is up some steep stairs which are a bit dark. The apartment has a very nice kitchen/living room though a proper table and chairs rather than the tall table with stools would have been better. The bedroom is big with a very comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower. We enjoyed our stay.

The one thing that could be improved is putting a shower curtain or shower door on the shower cubicle to stop the water spraying all over the room. The floor gets wet and slippery which isn't safe.

Absolutely outstanding B&B. One of the best we've stayed in. Superb accommodation, lovely hosts and delicious breakfast. The location is excellent as well. Classy area with nice bars and restaurants. It was also very easy to get to other towns and cities in the area, so it would make a good base.

Hans & Gridje are fantastic hosts. Their B&B is superb, you could not want for more. The place is stunning and such a warm welcome, they have thought of every last detail. Breakfast is a delight and presented wonderfully, you have a sitting room/kitchen area a lovely bathroom with a bath and walk in shower and obviously a bedroom with a small balcony and the bed is awesome. One thing I will mention is the apartment is on the first floor and is reached by some fairly steep stairs so if you have mobility issues be aware of this but if you are able to manage stairs it’s well worth the effort, (breakfast is served on the ground floor). There is parking right outside the B&B and it is just a very short walk to the town square for restaurants, bars and other shops. All in all a little gem and you will not be disappointed.
