Meath Arms Country Inn

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean, lovely staff, lovely beer, authentic period property with original features and character. Lovely village, very welcoming pubs. If you want genuine Irish hospitality and charm, this is an absolute gem.

Bedroom was cold and very dated. The rest of the pub/hotel is absolutely authentic, period furniture, decor, etc. Whilst that is charming in the communal areas, it's not so great in the bedrooms. We had a twin which didn't have a bin, the dressing table had no chair there are very few plug sockets, the kettle has to be moved to boll water, the bathroom was very tired, there was only one chair which was an armchair that had seen better days. In addition, the restaurant is closed and there were no other restaurants in the village so we ended up with a chippy tea.

Breakfast was exceptional, several options were made available and cooked to my preference.

I cannot identify anything that I didn't like.

The room was lovely. A “suite” at this inn means a very large room with several beds, a couch and a table. So comfy for us. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice.

This room has interesting lighting options, but some of the bulbs are burned out. Also, it states on the building that there is a restaurant, but the restaurant is closed

Das Haus ist super gelegen, der Gastgeber ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Die Räume sind sauber und bieten alles was benötigt wird. Die Bar unten gehört dazu. Also kann das essen vom Take away gegenüber auch in der Bar gegessen werden.

Staff were amazing. Breakfast was lovely. Any requests were answered with yes no problem. Value for money is excellent. Breakfast room lovely.

The bedroom could do with a little updating or freshening up.

We had a brilliant stay, middle of village which is central to lovely drives around Wicklow. Staff were great and met some locals in their bar.
