Villa Akasa

Without question the best Homestay we have ever stayed in. A wonderful environment, beautifully laid out with really friendly and courteous staff. A great dining area overlooking a small but perfectly formed pool. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious and we also opted for home cooked suppers every night, which were amazing. Our stay was truly wonderful.

The rooms were clean, beautifully furnished with everything thought of, from toiletries to towel to summer blankets to water to drying racks to tea and coffee. Cool and very comfortable.

It's a little away from the main part of Varkala but that has its advantages too. Easy walk to South Varkala beach.

Na een lange rit door de drukke straten van Varkala hadden we nooit verwacht in zo’n oase van rust terecht te komen. Zodra de poort van Villa Akasa openging, voelde het alsof alle drukte meteen van ons afviel. Overal zagen we groen, mooie planten en rustige plekjes om even te ontspannen.Het gaf ons direct een gevoel van rust. We werden warm ontvangen door Raju en Babu.Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons welkom. Tijdens het hele verblijf waren ze ontzettend behulpzaam en servicegericht. Je merkt aan alles dat ze echt om hun gasten geven.Terwijl we naar onze kamer liepen, viel meteen op hoe sfeervol de homestay is ingericht. Alles voelde verzorgd en met aandacht opgebouwd.De kamer zelf was knus, schoon en rook heerlijk fris.Maar het absolute hoogtepunt voor ons was de badkamer met open dak. Dat was echt prachtig gedaan. Juist dat soort details maken een verblijf bijzonder. Later op de dag ontmoetten we de zoon van de eigenaresse. Zijn ontspannen en laid-back uitstraling paste perfect bij de sfeer van Villa Akasa zelf. Waar je ook loopt op het terrein, overal zie je groen en mooie hoekjes om te zitten. Er lopen honden rond die rustig dichtbij komen zonder opdringerig te zijn. Dat gaf de plek voor ons een extra huiselijk gevoel. Door de LPG-crisis werd er geen diner voor gasten geserveerd. Wel werden ontbijt, snacks, fruit en drankjes met veel aandacht verzorgd. Het eten dat voor het personeel werd gekookt rook iedere keer ongelooflijk lekker. Na alle lange reizen vonden we hier precies de rust die we nodig hadden. Dank je wel Siddarth, Raju en Babu — jullie hebben ons verblijf echt onvergetelijk gemaakt.

Our stay at Villa Akasa was absolutely fantastic and truly one of the highlights of our trip to Varkala! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The ambiance around the villa was calm and refreshing — the perfect escape to unwind and enjoy Varkala. What really made the experience special was the incredible hospitality of the hosts and staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests made our stay even more memorable. The location is also excellent — close enough to enjoy the vibrant Varkala vibe, beaches, and cafes, while still offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, Villa Akasa exceeded our expectations in every way. Amazing stay, outstanding service, wonderful people, and beautiful surroundings. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Varkala and would definitely love to come back again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nous avons adoré : - le Personnel aux petits soins. - le Petit déjeuner vraiment bon et copieux. - la piscine avec de l’eau fraîche qui permets vraiment de se rafraîchir - plage accessible à pied - logement nettoyé tous les jours - service de nettoyage des vêtements pas cher et au top - promo au massage avec les recommandations de l’hôtel - Clim + ventilateur ! - maison individuelle sympa ! - générateur en cas de coupures de courant Merci :)

- à savoir qu’en saison base il y a pas énormément de choses à faire autour. Nous avons dû prendre tuktuk ou Uber. Mais cette partie de la falaise semblait bien mieux que l’autre. - prix peut être un peu élevé pour l’Inde selon nous mais peut être normal pour une station balnéaire - du double vitrage serait le top du top mais pas très courant en Inde je crois donc c’est très bien comme ça
