The dorm is clean and very near the railway station. The owner is kind and helpful. We came very early, 03:00 in the morning and the owner let us checked in with no surcharge. Slendid! If you want a budget bed in Vadodara, then Shiv Sai Dormitory must be your first consideration.

great place to stay! the location is perfect, everything you need, including the train station, is in walking distance. it’s clean and comfortable with great value for money and the staff is extremely friendly!

As a solo female traveller from the UK, it was important for me to feel safe and comfortable where I was staying. Shiv Sai Dormitory exceeded my expectations, as I not only felt safe and comfortable, but the owner was very hospitable. He was polite and helpful and even offered to drop me off to some places locally when I needed to go somewhere. Offers of masala chai was a nice touch from the owner too. The room itself was kept clean at all times, had fans and AC, and the beds were comfortable too, with ample space to store and secure luggage within the bed. Access to use the kitchen was useful, with free filtered drinking water available. To top it off, the location was central, near to the shopping areas as well as the railway station, which made it easy to travel around. I have stayed here a few times now and will do so when visiting in the future and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Vadodara.
