Bungalow 157

Tasteful decoration, spacious room, good breakfast, friendly staff, fast Internet, location is calm and not traffic congested.

The location “Defence Colony” is a little bit off the beaten track. There are a few decent restaurants nearby, if any. The balcony in front of my room was not really usable because of construction activity and the lack of view.

1. We had a wonderful time at this place! The bungalow was stunning, and we were pleasantly surprised to find additional robes there!

Very friendly, kind and supportive personal! Comfortable and homely atmosphere. Quality of food and services is excellent. Bungalow 157 is located just 3 minutes walk from the next market (food, Cafés, Restaurants, Items,…) in a very safe environment.

Some of the colony gates close in the late evening, making it hard for Ola/Uber/TukTuk to find a way to Bungalow 157.

There was a mistake about the room, we had booked a different one but we were given a much smaller one. Luckily the day after they switched the room to the one we had chosen.

The property is set up like an apartment. Each floor has 3 locked rooms sharing an open planned kitchenette, dining area and lounge. Facilities to use include a washing machine, fridge, microwave oven + basic crockery & cutlery. We were travelling with another couple so it was very convenient that we were able to access the communal area. The other room had a single guy who was a long term resident who travelled for work. Cool air conditioned retreat from the heat and humidity.

Our rooms (and of course the communal area) was on the ground floor. The entrance door to the communal area was not locked. Therefore staff used this communal area freely eg. to wash towels in the machine. There was no real privacy in the communal area … we thought the communal area should be for guests only (not for staff use). The prices of all the rooms are the same. However the room sizes and location of all 3 rooms are different. We had a lovely room … very large and overlooked green foliage. Our friends (who paid the same room rate) were allocated a much smaller room overlooking a building site. They had to keep the curtains closed as families of the workers live on the building site.
