Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. 24/7 Rezeption. Sehr grosszügige Zimmer und angenehmer Aufenthaltsraum/Küche. Ruhiges Wohnquartier mit hübschem Market. Die Lage ist optimal für Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Aber auch zum Khan Market oder Parks zum flanieren.

Das Frühstück war leider verwestlicht, was vor allem den indischen Gerichten nicht so gut tut :-) Kaffee und Tee sind auf der schwächlichen Seite. Aber auch hier, sehr freundliches Personal.

We had a very nice stay in Bungalow157 ! The rooms were spacious, clean and very modern. The bed was so comfortable. Delicious breakfast, cooked on-demand.

Ligging in Defence Colony

Location in the Defence Colony with its gorgeous big old Bodhi Tree just outside is perfect.. the Defence Colony shops are great - from worldwide cheese to organic Ayurvedic face wash and every fruit and veg you could wish for.. felt safe walking at night.. its my favourite part of Delhi. The apartment was lovely and spacious. - glad there was a lift for luggage! - the lounge so restful - although I guess if the other 2 bedroom occupants (3 separately rented bedrooms per floor) were noisy it wouldn't be so enjoyable - so its your good fortune or otherwise as to how that shared lounge, dining area and kitchen are. It was all idyllic when I was there. Bedroom big and comfy bed. I found having a washing machine a real treat whilst travelling. Whole place tastefully furnished.

I'm matching the levels of care to a top rate hotel given the comparable price.. so.. in that case: Cleaning not quite up to scratch, shower grouting, undercover bed sheet, old toilet brush (I went and bought them a new one - £2.50 at the local shop).. given how lovely the place is, it wouldn't take much for the owners to have a quick check every week or two (they aren't far away) to make sure it stays tip top.. probably little maintenance touches the regular cleaning staff don't have on their rota. Could do with a few extras in the kitchen - scissors, bottle opener, - but it hardly matters.. however given the price, those 'extras' help. although clearly a lot of guests don't use the kitchen much if at all.

Amazing place that I was looking forward to discover. All clean, very well decorated, very well located in Delhi. Can’t wait to go back :)
