Brilliant hosts and very accomadating , would stay again 100%

Room spacious, with large en-suite, very comfortable bed. Didn't have breakfast on this occasion.

Lots to like. Lovely friendly welcome. Bedroom was very cosy, stylish and eclectic and an excellent size for two. Curtains were lovely and heavy which kept out the light and the heat in. Bed and pillows were very comfy and bedding good quality. Two lovely comfy chairs provided but unfortunately we found them a bit too low for us. Good choice of hot drinks provided with a kettle and cups and saucers not mugs. Bathroom was small but well equipped. A shower not bath which we prefer as struggle to step over the side of a bath. Lovely thick towels on a heated towel rail. Nice toiletries provided. The house has a lovely lounge and breakfast room but we didn’t use either as weren’t there long enough. Both beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Very little not to like. The heating was too strong for our liking (maybe not for others and definitely better than being cold!) - since found out it can be controlled through a flap on the radiator cover so maybe a sign attached would make it more obvious to find. It was too cold outside to try to open the windows but I believe they do open which would be nice in the summer. No spare toilet roll in the bathroom and the soap and lotion containers had splash marks from previous visitors. The tea making facilities are located in the wardrobe. I understand this is to keep them dust free but I feel it would be easier and more welcoming for the visitor to have them out ready rather than having to find them, then locate the plug socket and find a space in the room for the tray.

A lovely friendly welcome. Though we didn’t use them there is a lovely lounge, breakfast room and bar. Bedroom was a good size with en-suite. Tea, coffee making facilities with good choice of drinks. Parking to the side. Comfy bed, bedding and pillows. Heavy, thick curtains makes room cosy and keeps the light out Thick soft towels on a heated rail in the bathroom. Nice toiletries provided. Very stylish, if old fashioned, setting.

Weirdly the coffee and kettle are in the wardrobe meaning you can’t use either the kettle or the wardrobe without taking the tray and table out. Would be easier if they were set up on side table to begin with. The towels were frayed at the edges and the flannel (although a nice touch) was stained. The sink behind the taps was dirty and the plug was rusted. No spare toilet roll. Seemed lovely and cosy when first arriving out of the cold but in fact the heat was overpowering and made the room stuffy. The safe was on the shelf at the back of the wardrobe but would need to be particularly tall or stand on a chair to use it.

Lady who greeted us was warm and welcoming - in fact, she made our stay from the outset. Honesty bar was a really lovely touch. Decor cosy and in keeping with the property. Beds super comfortable Would definitely stay again.
