Stoneleigh Barn Bed and Breakfast

Lovely quiet location. Really nice looking building. Beautiful big bedroom. Friendly & professional host. Really cute & super friendly resident dog!

Stoneleigh Barn B&B came to my rescue when I arrived in Sherborne at about 7pm and wasn't able to find suitable accommodation in town. I booked on the app and turned up on my motorbike about 15 minutes later. Rupert could not have been more helpful, which I really appreciated, and I was able to park the bike under cover. Both the room and bathroom were huge; the bed very comfortable. The cooked breakfast the next morning was excellent. Nutmeg was an excellent Chief Security Officer.

None of the following are criticisms, just points to note. The Barn is very close to the A3030 so there is some traffic noise -- it didn't bother me at all. The approach to the Barn is a little hard to spot at night. You are out of town, so will need to drive for something to eat in the evening.

Comfortable room in a quiet location. The bathroom was a good size and the breakfast was great.

Check in at 4pm is quite late. Unfortunately, I missed this fact and we arrived at 3pm to find nobody home. The host arrived about 20 minutes later and was very accommodating allowing us to check in early.

Beautiful building and room, very kind and responsive owner. I really appreciated his help after making an error with my travel plans - worth noting that you need to book taxis ahead if arriving by train! Also a very lovely breakfast in a friendly & relaxed setting.

Staff were very friendly, greeted and promptly shown to our room. Which was spacious, airy and clean. Particularly like the addition of fresh milk rather than UHT packets. Breakfast was delicious, filling and served with a smile. The dining room had lovely views too. It was a delight to spend time with Nutmeg too, a cute little terrier who was super friendly and greeted us in the morning. Although it was only 1 night, I wish we could have stayed longer, this a delightfully lovely b&b and would highly recommend staying here.. would 100% be back.

Small amount of traffic noise but this did not disturb our sleep too much.

Beautiful property, huge room. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order whatever you wanted. Walk in shower and roll top bath, tea, coffee and biscuits provided..
