We spent 2 nights here after getting married, staying in the Teal Room. Ally and Rowan kindly let us check in early and gave us some bubbles to celebrate. We were bowled over by everything about the property - the engaging hosts, quirky and luxurious accommodation, stunning views of Carbis Bay and delicious baked treats and plentiful breakfast, which we chose to have in the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area in the company of other guests. Little touches like the shared fridge with water, milk and alcoholic beverages to help yourself to, added to the fabulous experience. And the beach with some incredible restaurants, notably the Ugly Butterfly, just a short 5-10 minute walk away along the coast path. If you want a unique, personal experience that you don't get in a hotel, stay here - we will certainly be back!!

The property was so unique the way it was decorated…the location was amazing waking up to the sea view and having breakfast on the terrace with the view was great. Ally and Rowan were the best hosts, making you feel at home in their one of kind place. They were friendly, full of recommendations and couldn’t do enough for you! They’ve created a very special place!

Cool building, clean and cosy room, lovely terrace and a sea view with Virginia Woolf’s lighthouse. Tasty breakfast with good options also for dietary needs. The owners are lovely people. The magnificent beach is very close, only couple of minutes by walk. And you can walk easily to St Ives!

The welcome, and engagement that Ally and Rowan showed us and all their guests. You didn’t have to share breakfast, but we chose to, enjoying great multi-way conversation every morning.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit spektakulärer Sicht aufs Meer! Hier stimmt alles: die Zimmer sind groß und tiptop sauber, die Einrichtung ist super stylisch und individuell, jeder Raum hat Charme. Vor allem: Ally und Rowan sind sehr nette und herzliche Gastgeber, sie machen jeden Wunsch möglich und den Aufenthalt besonders. Wir haben hier Geburtstag gefeiert und sie haben uns sogar einen Kuchen gebacken. Das Frühstück ist auch spitze, es gibt guten Kaffee, selbstgemachtes Granola, frische Früchte und sehr gute Eier :)

We arrived and Ally and Rowan came up to greet us and get our bags. We were able to plug our electric car into their car charger. We walked down through a stunning garden into their beautiful home. We were offered a welcome drink and then were taken to our room. It was beautiful. The view, the décor, the bath, the bedding, the comfy bed, just everything. We were told to help ourselves to drinks from the fridge and the complementary flapjacks and pastries in our room. The breakfast was to die for and the laughs we had with both our hosts and the other guests during breakfast made it all the more special. Coffee from a real barista coffee machine, pastries to take away to eat later, need I say more ! Again the view just repeatedly took our breath away and Ally and Rowan were so welcoming, friendly, funny and genuinely interested in us and making sure we had the best stay ever. Very warm welcome, fabulous accommodation (stunning views, gorgeous property), nothing too much trouble (including so kindly meeting me at the train station and carrying my bag!), amazing breakfast which negated the need for lunch (!). Couldn't recommend more. Thanks so much!

It was a wonderful stay. The welcome, accommodation, view & food was peerless. The host's attention to detail sets the standard for casual accommodation. Getting to St Ives was a pleasant (if adventurous via the costal path) walk and the alternative of using the train was simple & cheap. We also used the excellent bus service that is accessible at the top of the hill. There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area.

The only issue is one of access and the nature of the surrounding area as its not ideal if you have limited mobility.

I like everything. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Rowan and Ally made our stay wonderful. Lots of homemade breakfast options. I will definitely visit again.

Wow! Simply the best. If you’re thinking of booking don’t hesitate it’s stunning. Ali and Rowan made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door to their beautiful home. The breakfast was one of the best we have had and we are seasoned travellers and extremely fussy 😀 Can’t wait to return thank you both so much x
