Smeaton Farm

Lovely setting, very nice facilities, excellent meals, welcoming hosts, good wifi. The home-cooked evening meal we booked was excellent. Perhaps the best roast pork we've ever had!

The road into the farm is a single lane track (which we are not accustomed to!). It took some getting used to.

The location is wonderful and the breakfast was exceptional

We stayed two nights. Truly excellent breakfast, the best and largest breakfast I have ever enjoyed, nice to have real fried bread. Large garden with a peaceful country view, a nice place to sit on a sunny afternoon. Overall excellent.

The farm itself was lovely. The premises we stayed were also very well taken care of. The place was amazingly clean. The living and dining room were very pretty and hospitable.

The quartiple room that we stayed in had very bad matrisses. Especially the two single beds had very old matrisses and the beds were squeaking really loudly in every move and this sound was waking up the others. The owner although polite was not hospitable nor especially friendly. The breakfast was very standard for a farm. One would expect a more home made approach like home made marmalade or fresh bread.
