Tresithick Vean Bed and Breakfast

Can't praise the host or the room enough. Food bed bathroom al great.

Small point,, tv or radio in room would have been nice, but room was lovely. .

lovely host who was very welcoming and helpful. I arrived in the evening and was greeted with hot drink and cake. Breakfast was delicious. Most of all the peace and calm of the location was wonderful.

Delicious, a la carte breakfast, tasty cafetière coffee Water carafe & glass in room, tasteful decor, very comfortable double bed. High level of cleanliness & a gracious, hospitable hostess.

A little more space between foot of bed & wardrobe wall.

Quiet and peaceful location within reach of all Cornwall sites and with private parking. Wendy was an excellent hostess during our 4 night stay.

Private bathroom just opposite but not en-suite.

Breakfast was lovely, excellent quality Wendy was very attentive and a good cook

Used to a larger duvet so that was a little uncomfortable

everything else. to be fair, breakfast was nice and she made effort to have many options. the issues were multiple, from the comfort of the bed, the size of the room, the strange insurance related rule of not being allowed to be in the space between 10-4p. host felt as though she believed she was doing us a great favor and was sure to let us know that she has hosted doctors and semi famous actresses. the vibe was just wrong. we chose to leave after one night. we communicated to owner via message as i was nervous to let her know to her face that we were not returning. this is the tone the visit took for us, unfortunately. we ended up staying in a boutique hotel that was in truro. it was lovely but that is for another review. concrete issues that could be solved: 1. the door to laundry room is right next to bottom floor room and its caused the bedroom door to rattle in the doorframe any time someone used it 2. the room is small and larger suitcases will not fit great. i think some rearranging might help? 3. if you choose to stay here, communicate constantly and directly with owner 4. although there is no TV or space to sit other than the bed, the owner’s kitchen or dining room shares wall, so we were able to hear her tv and conversations with other tenants. so…maybe a TV and an comfortable chair of some kind? we misunderstood british bed sizing so lesson learned but we really didn’t receive much empathy and mostly defensiveness and repeated reminders of accuracy of the listing. people who don’t like hosting people should not host people. she scolded my mom for not communicating our concrete arrival after what was communicated to be an “available after” check-in time. it was the strangest and most uncomfortable experience i have ever had. the dog was really cute though and i wish the owner the best and i also hope that she exposes herself to more americans to maybe get a sense of our hosting needs. maybe we were just jerks. who know.

Everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was very well presented and excellently cooked and served. Wendy was extremely attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. When we out, upon our return in the evening, Wendy had put our bedroom light on and a fresh carafe of water was in our room.

There was nothing to dislike

The hospitality, Wendy & Bonny (doggy) we’re excellent hosts. The accommodation was a 5 star ⭐️ Bed was amazingly comfortable and I have a serious back issue. Cleanliness was second to none. Wendy went above and beyond 🙏🏼💛

The only thing I can say is that you have to cross the small hallway to get to the bathroom, which meant looking decent of course. Although we did have our own bathroom which was fantastic 🙏🏼💛

Very easy to get to, close to Truro. Wendy was very friendly and helpful, room & bathroom extremely clean, top notch breakfast. Overall a very enjoyable stay, would certainly recommend it.
