The view is nice and the breakfast is good and included in the price. I was lucky the son was here and could speak English. He helped me planning my next day.

The location is difficult for people who don't have a car. No bus from the main road and it's super steep. Fortunately, the owner was nice to give me a lift back. The dormitory has no real bed but just a super thin mattress and a blanket. Super hard to sleep on it and no confortable.

Very friendly hosts.

Large, traditional Chinese breakfast - too much for me, could not eat it all.

The bed was a Japanese style thin mattress.

this is a great place to stay on top of the hill outside of town. the courtyard environment is amazing, and there is a little patio to sit on and enjoy the mountain views.

be aware that if you're staying in the common/hostel room, there are no beds. instead, they "japanese style tatami" pads available, but even if you stack them, you can still feel the hard floor underneath. they are more like blankets. maybe this works for locals but not for me. i had to bring in my own mattress from my car. ha! despite that, i was the only person in the room and i would stay here again, lovely environment to chill for a bit.
