A great breakfast and Dinner that we ordered daily, a welcoming host with an amazing family! Location would require ordering a car or a tuktuk, but with the PickMe/Uber app it's very much affordable. Also, the city can be noisy and cars make it quite gassy, thus being not in the center was an advantage. The 2 rooms we booked were large, clean, with an AC, which you'll probably not need, since the middle of Sri Lanka is colder than the southern coast. The shared terrace (for 3 rooms) offered a pleasant rest and comfort. I think if was a perfect place and I'd definitely pick it again. Not place-related advice: If you take a train (e.g. to Ella), reserve a seat in the train at least 7 days ahead! You can travel without a reservation, but likely will have to stand in a VERY crowded train for 2-4 hours before a chance for a free seat.
