D'Nanda mini hotel Ubud

The place has a nice ambiance with an infinity pool and the nature around it. You can book massage sessions and lunch/dinner with local prices.

Poor communication, as well as the ongoing construction negatively affected our stay. The staff were kind but but important details were not always communicated clearly. The biggest issue was the construction next to the rooms and pool area. Although we appreciated being informed that work would start early the next morning (6am), communication around the actual construction schedule was poor. Despite being told the work would stop in the afternoon, it continued until late at night (around 11:30pm) with no clear information available or staff present to manage the situation. Only after we escalated the issue with the security guard was the owner contacted, the work stopped, and an alternative room was offered.

Location-wise, this place is honestly stunning. The jungle atmosphere, infinity pool, spacious rooms, and overall setting are beautiful and very peaceful — the potential of this hotel is huge. I’d easily rate the location and concept 10/10. Overall, this place has incredible potential and an amazing atmosphere, but it seriously needs better maintenance, repairs, and more professional management. Right now it feels more beautiful in photos than in reality

Unfortunately, the execution and maintenance really bring it down. Many things in the room felt poorly built or unfinished — door handles were falling apart, towel holders were loose, and overall the place feels quite neglected. The biggest concern was security: the room doors were locked with a padlock attached to two metal loops that could literally be pulled apart by hand, so I personally would not feel safe leaving valuables inside the room. I also specifically booked and paid for a pool view room, but when I arrived I was given a room facing a wall instead. I had to repeatedly explain the issue and specifically ask for the room category I originally paid for, which took far more effort than it should have because communication in English was extremely difficult. The restaurant/service was also very frustrating. Staff were friendly, but communication in English even with translator was very limited and service felt disorganized. Sometimes nobody was there, sometimes several staff members stood behind the bar but basic orders still took a very long time. Felt unwelcoming Another downside was the ongoing construction around the property and near the pool area. There was frequent drilling and loud construction noise during the day, which really affected the relaxing jungle atmosphere the hotel advertises. One more thing to be aware of: because the hotel is in the jungle and parts of the bathroom are open through construction gaps, animals/insects can get inside. We even had animals leaving droppings in the bathroom. It’s not shocking for a jungle stay in Bali, but guests should know in advance.

Priateľský personál. Vrámci hotela práčovňa. Skvelé raňajky v bazéne. Do 5 min od ubytovania vodopády. Výhľad na džungľu z bazéna. Dobré jedlo za dobré peniaze. Tichá lokalita.

nothing much - pool is small - nothing really to like here

Don’t be fooled by the “actual” reviews — this place is not worth it if you’re paying AUD $30 or more. Basic things are not done properly. Water bottles are not replaced, breakfast is very poor, and on one day the tea smelled like fungus — likely from an old or reused tea bag. At this price, you expect at least basic standards, which were clearly not met. There are much better places in Ubud for the same money.
